Zoológico de Chapultepec
Photography Guide

Animal kingdom in the forest. A pretty accurate description of what you’ll find here.

Chapultepec Zoo is a compact but well-laid-out space with enclosures for everything from jaguars and lions to zebras and giraffes. It’s not as sprawling as some world-famous zoos, but it has a classic, old-school vibe with shaded paths, ponds, and a chance to see animals up close.

Even if you’re just strolling through Chapultepec, it’s worth a quick stop for a few photos or a leisurely walk among the animals. It's free.

Zoológico de Chapultepec
Photography Notes

It’s a safe and family-friendly space, but some paths under trees can be dim, so bring a fast lens if you want good photos.

SAFETY TIPS

Paths are wide and well-maintained. Keep an eye on children and stay behind barriers near animal enclosures.
