ADDRESS Alameda Central, Centro Histórico, CDMX
HOURS Public - Open 24 hours
Alameda Central is Centro’s largest green space, anchoring the area right next to the Palacio de Bellas Artes. Rather than just shooting static fountains and sculptures, the real visual value here is the density of local life. Check out the weekend evenings when massive crowds gather for open-air salsa dancing—it offers incredible opportunities for dynamic, high-energy street motion.
PHOTOGRAPHY NOTES
It’s a big park full of monuments, statues, and tree-lined paths. It’s also a social hub for activities. You can capture wide shots of the entire park, focus on detailed sculptures, and people watch.
SAFETY TIPS
Alameda Central is generally very safe, but keep an eye on your belongings and stay aware of other visitors while photographing.
SCENE DESCRIPTION
Shaded pathways, fountains, and sculptures fill the park, framed by trees and the surrounding historic buildings.
