The Cablebús over Chapultepec in Mexico City offers a scenic ride above one of the city’s most iconic green spaces.

Gliding over treetops, avenues, and surrounding neighborhoods, it provides panoramic views of Bosque de Chapultepec, the skyline, and daily city life below.

More than just transportation, it’s a calm, elevated experience that blends urban mobility with sightseeing, giving riders a fresh perspective on the capital’s scale and energy. Take it all the way to the last stop in Santa Fe and back. You will have to get off and pay again for the return trip.

SAFETY TIPS

Cablebús is safe and monitored by security. You must stay seated while the cable car is moving, and be mindful of other passengers when taking photos.

SCENE DESCRIPTION

The Chapultepec Cablebús moves above treetops, streets, and rooftops, giving sweeping views of the park and city. From the cabins, you can see the mix of greenery, buildings, and city life stretching out below. Horse tracks, skate parks, and the entire three sections of Bosque de Chapultepec are part of the journey. Keep in mind that the glass panels can be a little dirty.

BEST TIME TO VISIT / WHERE TO EAT

Early morning is best for fewer crowds and soft light, while late afternoon and golden hour offer warm tones across the city. Avoid rush hours as a lot of commuters take the cablebus to work. There's a great cafe nearby the entrance to Cablebús called Cafevera, located in the trendy San Miguel Chapultepec neighbourhood.
