Parque España is the lush, winding heart of Condesa, but the real "exhibit" here isn't the greenery—it’s the famous dog schools.
Every morning, dozens of dogs of every breed sit in perfectly disciplined rows, creating a surreal, choreographed spectacle that has become a staple of CDMX culture.
When people aren’t gawking at the impeccably behaved pups, they’re crossing the park’s iconic Art Deco bridges or admiring the massive Lindbergh Open Air Theater in Parque Mexico.
Whether you’re there for the architectural curves or to see twenty dogs sitting in a straight line, it’s a slice of city life you won't find anywhere else.

The park is free and open 24/7, making it one of the most accessible lifestyle shoots in Condesa.
I’d recommend walking the perimeter first to scout the "Dog Schools", then heading to the concrete Art Deco bridges for an elevated perspective of the canopy. The juxtaposition of the structured walkways against the wild, tropical greenery creates a fantastic depth of field.
Go during a sunny morning (9:00 AM – 11:00 AM) to catch the dogs in training and the light filtering through the palms, or at dusk for a moody jungle in the city vibe.
SAFETY TIPS
It is generally very safe, but parks are high distraction zones. Keep an eye on your surroundings and avoid leaving your gear bag on a bench or the ground while you’re lining up a shot of the dogs.

BEST TIME/SEASON TO VISIT
Weekdays between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM are essential if you want to photograph the dog training rows.
It stays green year-round, but the jacaranda season (March/April) adds a stunning purple canopy to the surrounding streets.
